A Successful FASTSIGNS Graphic Designer / Production Designer Will:
  • Create computer-generated full-color graphics and/or vinyl output that can be printed and mounted to a substrate or weeded, cut and applied
  • Complete or modify designs from customer drawings, files, or exact output of customer-provided design for output to media
  • Determine size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, select style and size of type, and arrange layout based upon available space, aesthetic design, and production requirements.
  • Work with clients to quickly and accurately proof and approve projects. Work with teammates to make sure jobs are printed for successful production and installation.
  • Inspect jobs for accuracy before sending them to output. Ensure that the correct material is used for each job and that the output device settings are accurate. Manage print media inventory and operate the printer, plotter, and finishing table.
  • Maintain customer job files and logo library; convert graphic files
  • Cross-train with teammates and answer customer calls, create simple estimates, and complete sign production as needed.

Ideal Qualifications for FASTSIGNS Graphic Designer:
  • 1-3+ years of commercial graphic design experience preferred
  • High School diploma or equivalent, 4 year design degree is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient and efficient in Adobe Illustrator
  • Ability to prioritize jobs, multi-task, and work autonomously
  • Determine the best output method based on the customer's needs
  • Ability to work under deadlines to output high-volume, high-quality work
