What's your day like?
To excel as a Contract Desktop Deployment Technician at TMG Global, candidates should possess a strong foundation in information technology and hands-on experience in end-user device deployment, desktop/laptop imaging, and technical troubleshooting. An associate or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. A CompTIA A+ Certification (or equivalent) is strongly recommended. Additional certifications, such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or ITIL Foundation, are advantageous.
Successful applicants will demonstrate experience with hardware troubleshooting, operating systems, network fundamentals, IDF/MDF patching, cable management, and technical documentation, enabling them to confidently deploy and maintain desktops, laptops, and related IT equipment.
Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset are essential to thrive in this role. Candidates must be able to track assets accurately, manage punch lists, and provide Go-Live support, contributing to the success of deployment projects.
Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred)
  • CompTIA A+ Certification (or equivalent) strongly recommended
  • Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in desktop/laptop support, end-user device deployment, and technical troubleshooting
  • Additional certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or ITIL Foundation are a plus
  • Hands-on training in hardware troubleshooting, operating systems, network fundamentals, and IDF/MDF patching
  • Experience with technical documentation (EXCEL), IT inventory management, and data port tracking
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work safely in warehouse/IDF environments
  • Must have reliable transportation to travel to project sites in Miami, FL

On-site attendance required; Contractors must utilize TMG Global's timekeeping system with a GEO-tagged clock-in/clock-out feature. This is a 1099 contractor role, responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and equipment.
