Job description

High School Receptionist (0905)

Provide reception and clerical assistance for the efficient operation of the front office.

High school diploma or GED

Proficient keyboarding skills

Effective organization, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow written instructions

Ability to multi-task

Ability to operate a multi-line phone system

One year experience in office setting

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Receive and direct incoming calls, take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff.
  • Greet and direct visitors to appropriate location.
  • Assist public, staff and students as needed.
  • Maintain visitor log and issue visitor passes utilizing Raptor System.
  • Check out visitors utilizing Raptor System.
  • Assignments may include: print shop requests, updating cumulative folders, textbook checkout/check in and preparation of emergency folders.
  • Prepare mailings and labels using personal computer. Assist with mail outs.
  • Maintain computerized files using personal computer including reports, employee roster, and mailing lists.
  • Sort & distribute mail, messages, and other documents.
  • Assist with the receipt and distribution of student materials, including homework requests.
  • Provide clerical assistance as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Able to work productively with frequent interruptions
  • Other duties as assigned
