Starting at $26 an hour
Location - Portland, OR
Work Arrangement - Dayshift (Monday - Thursday, 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM)

What you'll do
Pouring Operations: Responsible for pouring hot molten metal from small ladles into sand molds using a fixed manipulator arm and bar-type handle. Daily tasks include tipping ladles to pour metal, dumping used ladle shells, and preparing new ones. Success means consistent, safe, and accurate pouring to meet production standards.
Ladle Handling: Manage the large ladle of hot molten metal by moving it via overhead crane and tipping it to fill smaller ladles using a manual wheel. Add hot topping to molds using a long-handled scoop. Daily precision and safety are critical for success.
Physical Setup: Perform physically demanding tasks such as rapid, repetitive lifting, pushing/pulling mold carts, and scanning mold tags into the computer. Assist team members as needed to maintain workflow efficiency. Success is demonstrated by maintaining pace and accuracy in a physically challenging environment.
Hot Metal Crane Operation: Operate the hot metal crane after certification, managing heat removal as necessary. Success is measured by safe and efficient crane operation with zero incidents.
Travel Requirements: Minimal to no travel required; role is primarily onsite at the Portland facility.

What you'll bring
Must-haves:
• Good communication skills to work effectively within the team
• Ability to learn about alloys and metal specifications relevant to the role
