CAD Designer – Drone Landing Module (Mechanical) About the Project We are developing a drone landing module and need an experienced CAD designer to assist with mechanical design, component modeling, and production-ready drawings. This is a contract/freelance engagement with potential for ongoing work. Scope of Work - Design and model drone landing module components in 3D CAD - Create full assemblies including structural members, actuators, and interface points - Produce manufacturing-ready drawings with GD&T, tolerances, and BOM - Iterate on designs based on engineering feedback - Deliver files in [STEP / IGES / STL / native format] Requirements - Proficiency in SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or CATIA (specify your software) - Experience with mechanical/aerospace or drone component design - Ability to design for lightweight materials (aluminum, carbon fiber, composites) - Strong portfolio of similar mechanical assemblies - Responsive communication and ability to meet revision deadlines Nice to Have - Experience with UAV or aerospace systems - Familiarity with CNC machining or 3D printing design constraints - Knowledge of landing gear or deployment mechanism design Deliverables - 3D CAD models and full assembly files - 2D manufacturing drawings - Revision rounds as agreed
