General ResponsibilityProvide administrative support to the Forensic Services Laboratory - to include coverage of administrative area. Work as part of the administrative team to provide support to the staff of the Forensic Services Laboratory.
Specific Duties
  • Responsible for administrative duties to assist various Forensic departments. These duties include but are not limited to: handling department phone calls and messages, assist with building switchboard duties, distribute mail, liaison between departments and customers. Assist with scheduling Forensic conference rooms for the agency. Enter building maintenance requests.
  • Enter purchasing requests at the request of various departments, to include completing the procurement process for orders.
  • Assist with scanning of department case files and storing them in an electronic file management system.
  • Provide chain of custody records for court/information requests and assisting document release requests.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
  • High school diploma required.
  • Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals.
  • Must possess accurate typing and computer skills.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with law enforcement, solicitors, and the public.
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of computer information systems/Microsoft Office suite is preferred.
