We are seeking a talented CAD Technician to join our surveying team. This is a Full-time in-office position, located in Bluffton, SC. As a CAD Technician, you will play a crucial role in transforming field data into accurate and detailed survey drawings using CAD software. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on challenging projects while utilizing your technical skills and expertise in land surveying.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Convert field survey data into detailed CAD drawings, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking plans.
  • Interpret survey notes, sketches, and other data to accurately depict survey features and measurements.
  • Prepare drawings and maps for client deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with surveyors and project managers to address design changes and modifications as needed.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation to facilitate efficient project management and communication.
  • Assist in quality control checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of survey drawings.

Qualifications:
  • Previous land survey or engineering experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, etc.) with a strong understanding of CAD drafting principles.
