Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CAD Technician to join our dynamic Civil Engineering firm, specializing in large-scale land development projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying engineering drawings, site plans, and construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D. This role requires strong attention to detail, an understanding of civil engineering principles, and experience with land development projects, including grading, stormwater management, and utility design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed site development and civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Assist engineers in designing and drafting grading plans, roadway layouts, stormwater management systems, and utility infrastructure.
  • Interpret survey data, topographic maps, and GIS information to develop accurate designs.
  • Generate construction drawings, profiles, cross-sections, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure that designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and engineering best practices.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Maintain project documentation, version control, and drawing standards.
  • Perform quality control checks on drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or Technical Certificate in Computer-Aided Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a CAD Technician in a civil engineering or land development setting.
