Job description

Network Administrator - Mobile Networking

Information Technology Department

Position Overview:

The Network Administrator enables the stable operation of SIA's computer networks and mobile-driven production systems. They must maintain and support production-critical network systems across the organization. The Network Administrator actively troubleshoots and resolves issues related to wireless systems, service providers, and general connectivity of mobile endpoints.

This role also provides end-to-end management of mobile device platforms, specifically android and apple-based production devices, ensuring reliable deployment of LOB (Line of Business) applications, security posture policies, and asset lifecycle management.

Outline of duties:

  1. Ensure high availability of network systems and mobile devices to maintain plant floor performance, escalating complex problems as needed.
  2. Assist in documenting network environments and supporting infrastructure upgrades in coordination with Network Engineer.
  3. Coordinate vendor support, escalate issues, and ensure timely resolution of service disruptions
  4. Administer and maintain Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms, including policies, profiles, and compliance standards
  5. Manage deployment, provisioning, and configuration of mobile devices (Android, tablets, production phones, EP5G devices)
  6. Establish and maintain mobile applications, configurations, and secure access for production and enterprise environments
  7. Support VoIP communication platforms including 3CX system configuration, maintenance, and endpoints.
  8. Support regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  9. Drives Kaizen activity, applies statistical and other improvement tools
  10. All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in information technology or related field
  • 2-3 years of experience with mobile device management software (Intune, Knox, JAMF)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • CompTIA Net+, or equivalent
  • Self-motivated - high initiative
  • Ability to manage projects from start to finish
  • Ability to use data to drive activity, productivity, and cost
  • Familiar with VOIP platforms, including SIP protocols & DID management
  • Working knowledge of certificate-based security (SCEP, PKI, etc... for device compliance)
  • Working knowledge in Android & Apple application packages (.APK, .IPA)

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • CCNA, MCP, CompTIA Security+, or Apple Certified iOS Technician (ACiT)
  • 3CX Basic Certification
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
