What You Do

Will drive continuous improvement initiatives centered around equipment and facility efficiency and reliability and as such, will help educate team members at all levels of the organization, and contractors, on the why and importance of such initiatives.

As a part of the above, and on an ongoing basis will also:

Establish strong team member relations, at all levels and provide support for people development, coaching, and mentoring with a focus on teamwork and inclusion

Work closely with advisors from Mazda and Toyota

Supervise and motivate a team to perform their work safely, efficiently, with excellent quality to ensure reliability

Implement reliability kaizen activity including major breakdown root cause analysis, KPI/Benchmark action plan implementation, assigned FE system infrastructure risk analysis, and efficiency

Implement Facility Maintenance standardization activity including master maintenance plans, contingency plans, and best practices for assigned systems

Support Quality Circle/Kaizen activities to improve operational efficiency (cost, headcount, reliability) at MTM Facility Departments

Provide resources to support a plant wide Energy Management Organization (EMO)

Support evaluation and implementation of maintenance cost reduction activity for assigned systems

Lead, supervise and plan development and coordination for skilled team members to support manufacturing requirements

Develop and implement continuous training and skill development programs

Initiate and lead kaizen activity with problem solving analysis and countermeasures for FE equipment improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost using standardized processes and tools

Supervise preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance (PdM) & corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment in accordance to standardized procedures

Track and report maintenance key performance indicators

Troubleshoot and repair industrial HVAC systems, industrial air compressor systems, medium voltage (15 KV-600 V) electrical switch gear, industrial water supply, industrial lighting, maintenance and operation of process wastewater system.

Using standard and specialized hand/power tools when necessary (pipe threader, drill press, welder, cutting torch, machining, and diagnostic equipment)

Resolve issues with systems and processes managed by the Facility Engineering Reliability group

Implement 5-year Roadmap planning for assigned systems

Perform basic administrative skills including computer data entry and documentation of work performed

Utilize Mazda and Toyota Facility KPI/SSR data to determine potential issues, develop plans to jointly investigate with Mazda and Toyota and determine potential & implement countermeasures

Performs other related duties as assigned by the department

Be available to work outside of normal work schedule, including but not limited to weekends, holidays, shutdowns, and travel as needed (domestically and internationally)

What You Bring

High School Degree or GED

Leadership experience or internal demonstrated experience

Experience in Plant Facility Maintenance Function or Experience in Industrial Maintenance Function

Must possess effective communication skills (internal and external communications)

Proven Leadership Experience in managing teams, projects or cross functional teams.

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Products

What Will Set You Apart:

2+ years' leadership experience in Facilities Maintenance.

Technical Degree/Certificate (Validation required) in mechanical, electrical, electronic, mechatronics or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in coordinating of Facility Operations & Maintenance, Managing Cost Performance, Planning / Target-setting, technical knowledge of building, facility equipment and manufacturing processes

Experience in a Maintenance Function or Production Engineering within a manufacturer

Experience with Direct Supervision of highly motivated team

$95,650.21 - $122,440.36
