Job description

What You Will Do

Kickstart your engineering career by helping shape the next generation of highperformance rotating machinery. The Mechanical Compressor Engineer is an entrylevel mechanical engineering role on our centrifugal compressor engineering team, offering handson exposure to real-world product development and a clear path for professional growth. In this role, you'll apply core mechanical engineering principles to the design, analysis, development, and testing of complex rotating machinery and critical subcomponents. You'll play an active part in driving cost reductions, improving performance, and enhancing the reliability of both new and existing products.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with a diverse, crossfunctional technical team and work sidebyside with experienced senior engineers who are invested in your development. The role primarily focuses on large centrifugal compressors for York watercooled chillers, and is based onsite at our Advanced Development and Engineering Center in New Freedom, PA. Candidates must be within commuting distance or willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is available.

How You Will Do It

  • Provide guidance to test operators and interface with compressor technicians.

  • Perform data collection and analysis.

  • Work collaboratively with other JCI engineering groupstodevelop new products.

  • Interface with product managers, project managers, product technical support associates, andmultiple internationalmanufacturing plants.

  • Assist in various assigned projects within the compressor engineeringdepartmentas necessary.

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Participationin a tangible senior class engineering projectand/or internship experience
