Job description

We are looking for an Air Compressor Technical Support Specialist to join our team on our journey for a better tomorrow.
Your role
Your mission as a Technical Support Specialist is to provide assistance and expertise concerning Quincy rotary and reciprocating products. You will support Field Service Technicians, distributor network, and end users in the maintenance, service, and training of Quincy products.
  • You will assist customers to the best of their ability to obtain technical information needed to be satisfied with the performance of their Quincy Compressor.
  • You will continually update personal knowledge of new products or modifications to existing product lines and various warranty policies.
  • You will assist in maintaining current product documentation for the Technical Service Department.
  • You will provide daily reports of field problems reported by phone and email.
  • You will provide training to Service Technicians and distributors on product service and repair both in service school and in the field when needed.
  • You will provide training for internal and distribution.
  • You will accept and complete any special projects/assignments that are not principle duties of this position but are in line with goal and objectives of this department and/or division.
  • You will administration of remote monitoring platform (ICONS).
  • You will accompany service technicians to customer sites to perform air audits.
  • You will compile data and construct reports in a timely manner.
  • You will handle Industrial Air Piping design and modifications.
  • You will perform Quality Air Auditing.
  • You will perform Compressor Power Consumption Audits.
  • You will troubleshoot networking and connectivity of compressed air equipment.

To succeed, you need
  • You have a High School Degree required with a Mechanical or Civil Engineering Degree (preferred).
  • You have 2 years' experience in a relevant role (preferred).
  • You have knowledge of compressed air products and services.
  • You have technical expertise.
  • You have excellent phone skills.
  • You have strong computer skills.
  • You have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • You have CAD experience (preferred but not required).
  • You are able to move about the facility (standing, walking) and occasionally at customer sites, varying by location.
  • You can travel domestically and internationally (up to 40% maybe required).
