• Conduct individualized counseling sessions, utilizing both cognitive-behavioral and client-centered therapeutic techniques to meet client goals.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, encouraging participation and ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all members.
• Develop personalized treatment plans based on thorough client assessments, actively engaging clients in their therapeutic journey.
• Provide ongoing support and encouragement, empowering clients to tackle emotional or mental health challenges effectively.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to ensure holistic care for clients.
• Create and maintain detailed clinical documentation that complies with agency policies and healthcare regulations.
• Stay informed about leading practices and developments in the counseling field by participating in continuing education and training opportunities.

Your work will focus on a varied patient population that includes individuals facing a range of mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship conflicts. You will also support families and couples in navigating their unique dynamics and fostering healthier communication patterns. Through individualized care, you will help clients achieve meaningful progress and improve their overall quality of life.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field is required.
• Current and valid state license as a professional counselor (LPC) in Virginia.
• Minimum of 2 years of counseling experience, demonstrating effective clinical skills in a similar setting.
• Strong communication abilities, including active listening skills and an empathetic approach to client interactions.
• A proven ability to build trust and rapport with diverse clientele, fostering a therapeutic relationship that promotes healing.

• Experience working in community health settings or with diverse populations is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices is advantageous.
• Background in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention techniques is beneficial.

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $90,000 annually, complemented by a comprehensive benefits package.
