• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments, utilizing a patient-centered approach to understand clients' needs, histories, and mental health challenges.
• Devise and implement tailored, evidence-based treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
• Facilitate therapeutic sessions that encourage personal growth and emotional resilience, maintaining a safe and confidential environment.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to provide a holistic level of care for every client.
• Maintain meticulous clinical records in compliance with ethical and legal guidelines, ensuring that client information is both secure and accessible.
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities by attending workshops, seminars, and trainings to stay abreast of advancements in mental health research and treatment methodologies.

In this role, you will serve a diverse population, including adults, adolescents, and families facing a variety of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse. Our clients come from various backgrounds, ensuring that each therapeutic encounter is infused with cultural sensitivity and respect for individual experiences.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Possession of an active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of two years of direct experience providing counseling or psychotherapy in a clinical setting.
• Solid understanding of ethical guidelines and legal regulations that govern counseling practice.
• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and therapeutic documentation.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a gift for building rapport with clients from varying backgrounds.

• Experience and specialization in areas such as trauma-informed care, family therapy, or substance use disorders are highly valued.
• A history of successful collaboration in multidisciplinary teams to enrich client care will enhance your candidacy.

Pathways Counseling Services offers an attractive salary range of $80,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with your caseload and level of experience.
