• Conduct thorough intake assessments and screenings that effectively identify students' mental health needs, developing personalized treatment plans that facilitate their academic progress.
• Provide short-term individual counseling and crisis intervention, addressing issues ranging from anxiety and depression to stress management and interpersonal challenges.
• Design and lead therapy groups and workshops that cover pertinent topics such as coping strategies, resilience building, and conflict resolution, creating a supportive peer environment.
• Collaborate closely with academic advisors, faculty, and administrative staff to develop a comprehensive support framework for students, ensuring no one falls through the cracks.
• Engage proactively in outreach initiatives, spearheading mental health awareness campaigns and wellness events that promote understanding and destigmatize seeking help.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records, adhering to ethical and legal standards while employing evidence-based practices in all counseling interventions.

This position focuses on serving a diverse student body, including undergraduates and graduate students facing unique challenges in their educational journeys. You will develop a keen understanding of the mental health concerns prevalent among this demographic, tailoring your approach to cultivate a safe and supportive atmosphere that encourages open dialogue and connection.

• An active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field; a Master’s degree or higher preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with college students effectively, showing empathy and understanding of the complexities they face.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal abilities to build a rapport with students and work collaboratively with a multifaceted campus environment.
• Familiarity with contemporary evidence-based practices and brief therapy models that align with the needs of a university counseling context.
• A self-sufficient worker with the capacity to manage a diverse client caseload efficiently and effectively.

• Experience working within a school or university counseling center, particularly in a remote capacity.
• Knowledge of or experience with specific populations, including first-generation college students, international students, and those transitioning to higher education.
• Proven track record of participation in outreach and engagement initiatives in educational settings.
