WHAT YOU’LL DO:

MGT + Ednetics is currently looking to fill a full-time Physical Security Solutions Architect position at one of our Post Falls, ID, Boise, ID, Kent, WA, or Portland, OR locations. The Physical Security Solutions Architect plays a key role in driving interest and engagement around Ednetics’ Physical Security portfolio by delivering innovative, value-driven solutions to current and prospective customers. Leveraging strong technical expertise and industry insight, this role partners closely with Sales, Estimation, and Product teams to design, demonstrate, and position Physical Security solutions that meet customer needs. This is a regional role with a remote work model and regular travel to customer sites, meetings, conferences, and short-term engagements.

In this role, your essential duties and responsibilities are:

  • Generate interest and excitement around Ednetics’ Physical Security solutions through solution demonstrations, proof of concepts, and technical presentations.
  • Support all aspects of the pre-sale ls and solution design process for the Physical Security line of business.
  • Partner with Sales and Estimation teams to design, scope, and quote Physical Security solutions.
  • Assist Specialty Systems Estimation by managing and maintaining tools and systems used for solution design and quoting.
  • Collaborate with Sales teams, customers, and Product Owners to assess customer needs, evaluate solution fit, and identify new opportunities.
  • Travel to customer sites to support requirements gathering, specifications, frameworks, and issue resolution.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to the Physical Security Product Owner regarding product capabilities, limitations, and customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate Physical Security products and support account managers during customer meetings, trainings, and events.
  • Deliver and explain technical components of Physical Security solutions during presentations and engagements.
  • Contribute to the development of use cases, case studies, and best-practice documentation for customers.
  • Participate in brainstorming and documentation efforts related to new or enhanced Physical Security system features and functionality.
  • Provide guidance to the Sales team on the Ednetics Physical Security product portfolio, including market and product requirements.
  • Maintain flexibility to travel as needed, with up to 20% in-office presence when not traveling and up to 80% remote work supported by reliable home internet service.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • A strong customer-focused mindset, demonstrating professionalism, courtesy, and respect in all interactions.
  • Experience supporting pre-sales, customer support, and project scope creation processes.
  • Working knowledge of Physical Security systems, including:
  • Physical security systems and management
  • Intrusion detection systems
  • Access control systems
  • Network and information systems
  • Storage systems and management
  • Working knowledge of System Surveyor.
  • Basic knowledge of NetSuite and Smartsheet, with the ability to manage projects, track time, and manage cases.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, Visio, and Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • A positive, service-oriented attitude with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Education and Experience

  • Manufacturer certifications as required and directed by the Director of Sales Engineering.
  • Experience supporting managed IT services, including NOC support, maintenance services, data centers, cloud, data storage, unified communications, and collaboration platforms.
  • Familiarity with K–12 policies and procedures.

  • Follow Physical Security team best practices and procedures when completing assigned responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate an energetic, motivated, and committed work ethic, consistently going above and beyond.
  • Consistently meet or exceed pre-sales deadlines and complete assigned tasks reliably.

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations

  • Completion of Physical Security manufacturer sales and technical training required to support solution sales.
