Job description

Job Title: Lab Technologist III (Part-Time)

Location: Fremont, CA 94538

Duration: 3-Month Contract

Pay Rate: $37/hour (W2)

Shift: Day Shift

Job Summary

We are seeking a Lab Technologist III to support laboratory operations, compound management, and cell-based screening assays in a drug discovery environment. This role involves preparing compound plates, performing routine laboratory assays, maintaining documentation, and supporting daily team activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cell-based assays, including:
    • PathHunter β-arrestin assays
    • cAMP assays
    • Calcium No-Wash assays
  • Prepare, barcode, register, and manage compound plates.
  • Support compound management and laboratory screening activities.
  • Analyze assay data using proprietary software.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and eLIMS/database records.
  • Manage laboratory reagents and consumable inventory.
  • Assist with team projects and other laboratory duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience with cell-based assays.
  • Proficiency in multichannel pipetting.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and support multiple laboratory functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with robotic liquid handling systems.
  • Experience in compound management.
  • Familiarity with eLIMS or laboratory database systems.
