Job Description

The Snowcat Operator is responsible for delivery of food, beverage and other equipment/items required for daily restaurant operation via snowcat. Remove trash recycle and compost from restaurants. This position reports to the Restaurant Manager. 

Job Posting Deadline
Applications for this position will be accepted until October 1, 2026 for the 2026-2027 Winter Season. 

Essential Job Functions / Key Job Responsibilities

  • Loads and drives snowcat, following designated routes to and from restaurants 
  • Cross reference delivery invoices with product being delivered to the restaurants 
  • Notify appropriate management team member of damaged or missing product 
  • Stock product in proper restaurant locations as determined by restaurant management 
  • Follow the correct protocol for recycling, composting and the disposal of all trash 
  • Transport and takes correct care when transporting hazardous goods 
  • Ensure that the Snowcat is fueled, and that proper fluid levels are maintained at all times 
  • Complete daily pre start-up Snowcat checklist to include radio operation 
  • Notify proper parties of any mechanical and/or safety issues pertaining to the operation of the Snowcat 
  • Maintain clean and organized refrigerated and storage spaces at base area facilities 
  • Work flexible shifts, depending on the needs of the business 
  • Other duties as assigned  
Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements 

  • Must be 18 years or older 
  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • 2 years' experience driving a snowcat or similar equipment required 
  • Valid, current, unrestricted driver's license required 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities  

  • Ability to communicate, follow oral and written directions in English 
  • Ability to operate a variety of vehicles including stick shift, snowcat, snowmobile required 
  • Ability to ski or ride at an intermediate level is required for employees of ski in/ski out restaurants in winter 
  • Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals 
  • Ability to remain focused, organized, flexible, and detail-oriented 
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures and exercises caution when working

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability toreach, crouch, kneel,stand, bendorbe on your feetfor extended periods of time 
  • Regularly work in wet, cold, hot conditions requiring the use of protective apparel/equipment to prevent exposure to the elementsand may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces 
  • Must be able tofrequencylift, push or pullup to50 lbs. individually or with assistance
