Job Description
Position Summary
The Busser is responsible for maintaining a clean and inviting restaurant facility by clearing/wiping tables, stocking products, performing housekeeping functions and engaging with our guests to ensure their needs are met. This position reports to the Restaurant Manager.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities
• Responsible for following designated opening/closing procedures for the restaurant, to include housekeeping functions for restaurant, bar, and restroom areas
• Ensure all food items are stocked and alert manager to items which are out of stock
• Complete side work duties to ensure the restaurant is ready for service
• Engage with guests, helping as needed to ensure their needs are met
• Clean and clear tables efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of bus stations to include removal of trash, recycling, composting
• Move tables, chairs, bus stations to facilitate housekeeping
• Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist elsewhere as business volumes and staff levels demand
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience Requirements
• Prior guest service experience is preferred
• Prior work experience in a restaurant is preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures
• Understanding on how to assist customers and meet their needs effectively
• Proficiency in communicating clearly both verbally and in writing to team members and customers
• Proficient written and verbal communication English skills, Spanish a plus
• Ability to work under stressful circumstances
• Ability to quickly adapt to changes in processes, customer flow, environments, and tasks
• Ability to engage with customers in a positive and helpful manner
• Ability to work in collaboration with others to achieve team goals
Additional Information
Work Environment & Physical Demands
• Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Regularly work in wet, hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
• Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
