Role Overview:
The Risk and Compliance Manager is responsible for optimizing contract strategies, ensuring robust compliance with insurance requirements, and safeguarding ABI's physical and digital assets. This position supports all project teams by managing risk, enhancing operational resilience, and maintaining deal integrity. The Risk and Compliance Manager will promote the Vision, Mission and Core Values of ABI while fostering a collegial work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary lead with insurance brokers, translating ABI's operational needs into precise insurance specifications
  • Analyze and standardize insurance requirements across contract types to ensure alignment with vendor and project risk profiles
  • Review agreements to ensure indemnification clauses align with ABI's coverage
  • Bridge insurance and procurement processes to streamline workflows and prevent project bottlenecks
  • Continuously monitor insurance deals and market trends to secure optimal terms and anticipate industry changes
  • Manage annual insurance stewardship and renewal processes with analytical rigor
  • Conduct business impact analyses and lead the design and implementation of comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Identify potential financial, legal, and operational hazards and develop mitigation strategies Establish response protocols to ensure organizational continuity
  • Prepare compliance performance reports for management

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial insurance and risk management
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and insurance standards for government-funded projects
  • Proven ability to analyze contracts and translate operational needs into insurance requirements Demonstrated experience managing business continuity and disaster recovery planning

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working in public-private partnerships or large-scale infrastructure projects
