Position Overview

C&S Companies is seeking a senior level environmental engineer to support our continued growth of our environmental investigation and remediation practice. Ideal candidates will have a diverse and successful record of developing, managing, and delivering environmental investigation and remediation projects and leading project teams. In this role, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Independently lead complex environmental projects and project teams
  • Mentor professional staff on technical matters
  • Model professional excellence within and outside of C&S
  • Provide advanced technical, project, and people (project team) leadership
  • Exercise high degree of judgment, independence, and accountability
  • Maintain a high standard of quality in deliverables and ensure same of project team members
  • Positively represent C&S in various environmental organizations and forums
  • Prepare high-quality environmental reports, work plans, remedial design documents, and other deliverables
  • Review and approve technical work products prepared by others
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, subconsultants, and regulators

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Professional licensure in New York as a Professional Engineer; licensure in other states beneficial
  • 10 or more years of progressive experience in the environmental remediation industry
  • Proven track record of successfully maintaining and building client relationships, planning and executing projects, and working collaboratively with diverse project teams
  • Strong project management, business development, organizational and technical skills
  • Experience in serving as primary client contact and in managing project teams and budgets
  • High level of self-motivation with excellent technical writing and documentation skills
  • Advanced, in-depth knowledge of current and emerging remedial technologies and New York and US environmental regulations, policies, and procedures

Estimated Compensation Range and Benefits

$120,000 - $130,000/year*

*Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
