Job Type: Full Time
On - Call / Travel / Emergency Response Role:
Miller Environmental Group (MEG) is seeking a Foreman to support and work alongside our field operations team. This position performs hands-on environmental cleanup, industrial cleaning, decontamination, spill response, and basic remediation tasks while serving as a working lead in the field.
The Foreman works directly with the crew, providing guidance, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. This role supports both emergency response and scheduled project work. The work is physical and demanding, often performed in challenging environments, and requires a strong focus on safety, teamwork, accountability, and leading by example.

  • Starting pay: $25/hour+, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Daily Safety Briefings?- Lead tailgate meetings and reinforce company safety procedures and expectations.
  • Perform Work Alongside Crew?- Work hands-on while guiding and supporting crew members in daily tasks.
  • Assign and Direct Daily Crew Tasks?- Oversee task execution, maintain quality standards, and ensure site organization.
  • Operate and Oversee Equipment?- Safely use and direct use of tools and equipment required for assigned work.
  • Complete Daily Documentation?- Prepare and submit accurate job reports, tailgate forms, and equipment logs.
  • Escalate Issues to Field Supervisor?- Communicate staffing, equipment, material needs, or jobsite issues promptly.
  • Maintain Jobsite Safety and Housekeeping?- Keep the site safe, cleaned, and properly secured at the end of each shift.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Valid, unrestricted driver's license
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs and perform heavy physical labor
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and on uneven terrain
  • Willingness to get dirty
  • Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, travel, weekends, holidays, and on-call (potentially in the middle of the night)
  • Ability to wear respirators and meet OSHA respiratory protection and facial hair requirements
  • Strong reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn and try new things
  • Ability to effectively coordinate with personnel and clients; strong communication, multi-tasking, and detail-oriented skills.
  • Detail-oriented, creative, proactive, and persistent; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Basic math, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills are required.
  • Must pass a fit-for-duty physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in environmental services, construction, industrial cleaning, mechanical, landscaping or general labor (work that requires tools and/or equipment)
  • Spill response, remediation, or hazardous materials experience a plus

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
  • Field-based work primarily outdoors for 8-12+ hours per day
  • Exposure to noise, chemicals, uneven terrain, confined spaces, and elevated work areas
  • Required use of PPE including coveralls, gloves, eye protection, respirators, air monitors, and fully encapsulated suits
  • Ability to wear fully encapsulated Level A PPE with SCBA for extended periods when required
