We’re currently seeking Environmental Field Technicians from entry-level to experienced for our branch in Orchard Park, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

As an employee of Sun Environmental Corp., you will be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with emergency response, hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials. You must be able to understand and comply with company and client safety standards.

This position works a day shift 80% of the time; usually around 6:00 am - 4:00 pm. We do work some nights, evenings & weekends as needed to accommodate customer's needs. Overtime is available and we even have opportunities to earn prevailing wage and double time on jobs.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • The safety-oriented mindset with the determination to follow all procedures and policies.
  • Current Hazwhoper certification is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a physically intensive role.
  • Able to be on-call for emergency response.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Must pass fit for duty physical with the ability to climb, twist, kneel, bend, push and pull without difficulty.
