Weekly Hours: In Person 40 hours per week
Student Age Range: Early Intervention (birth to three)
School or Pediatric Clinic-Based PT Experience Required: Preferred
Position Overview
Princeton Staffing Solutions is hiring a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to provide therapy services to students in a school-based special education setting. The ideal candidate will have experience with pediatric or school-aged populations and be passionate about helping students improve functional mobility and gross motor skills within educational environments.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and evaluate students' gross motor and physical development related to accessing the educational curriculum
Develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans to address each student's unique needs
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal development
Utilize adaptive equipment and assistive technologies to support students with physical and cognitive disabilities
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to promote carryover of therapy goals across settings
Monitor student progress, maintain documentation, and adjust treatment plans as necessary
Ensure compliance with school district guidelines and state practice regulations
Required Qualifications
Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited PT program
Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
Educational/Teacher Certification if required by the state Department of Education
School-based or pediatric clinical experience strongly preferred
