What you will be doing:

The Director of Finance serves as the strategic finance leader and trusted advisor to the General Manager, partnering across Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Demand Planning, Product Development, Operations, and Corporate FP&A to accelerate profitable growth. This leader owns the financial performance narrative for the business, translates strategy into actionable financial plans, challenges assumptions, identifies risks and opportunities, and ensures disciplined resource and capital allocation. This role goes beyond reporting results; it influences decisions before they happen.

Financial Planning Leadership

Own complete business performance narrative across revenue, gross margin, operating margin, EBITDA, working capital, inventory, trade spend, marketing investments, and capital investments. Lead monthly and quarterly forecasts, annual operating plan, long-range plan, scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, risks and opportunities, financial modeling, OneStream submissions, MBRs/QBRs, KPI dashboards, executive scorecards, variance/root-cause analysis, and corrective action planning.

Strategic Business Partnership

Serve as primary financial advisor to the GM and business leadership team; translate strategy into financial objectives; develop long-range growth plans; evaluate strategic investments, licensing opportunities, partnerships, and business cases; challenge commercial assumptions with data-driven analysis.

Commercial Finance & Revenue/Growth Management

Partner with Sales, Marketing, Category Management, and RGM on customer, SKU, channel, category, and brand profitability; pricing strategy; gross-to-net management; trade spend optimization; promotional ROI; elasticity; incrementality; mix optimization; customer negotiations; and customer investment allocation.

Consumer, Market & POS Analytics

Use POS, market share, household penetration, category growth, velocity, distribution, competitive intelligence, digital shelf, pricing gaps, and assortment insights to connect marketplace trends to financial performance and recommended actions.

Margin, Supply Chain & Working Capital Leadership

Drive gross margin improvement through cost inflation, commodity and tariff analysis, productivity, manufacturing efficiencies, freight, sourcing alternatives, portfolio simplification, inventory optimization, E&O management, service levels, S&OP, and forecast accuracy.

Leadership & Talent Development

Develop finance talent; build high-performing teams; coach business partners; foster financial acumen across the business; lead cross-functional initiatives; champion continuous improvement and stronger decision discipline.

Skills needed to be successful in this role:
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights and compelling business stories.
  • Proven ability to influence without direct authority and lead organizational change across cross-functional teams.
  • Strong commercial curiosity and the ability to connect consumer behavior, retailer economics, competitive dynamics, and operational drivers to financial outcomes.
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning, and business analytics skills.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Oracle, SAP, OneStream, and business intelligence/data visualization tools preferred.
  • Experience leveraging retailer, POS, and syndicated data sources (Circana, Nielsen, retailer portals) to drive business insights preferred.
  • Experience with customer, channel, and SKU profitability analysis, revenue growth management, trade spend optimization, demand planning, inventory management, and working capital improvement preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressively responsible finance experience, preferably within consumer products, retail, branded goods, or a related industry.
  • 1-2 years of experience at the Director level or 3-4 years of experience at the Senior Manager level.
  • Demonstrated success as a commercial finance leader with expertise in FP&A, financial modeling, business case development, valuation, forecasting, and strategic planning.
  • Proven track record partnering with business leaders to drive growth, profitability, and operational performance.
  • Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree (MBA preferred).
  • CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification.
  • Experience supporting consumer packaged goods (CPG), retail, omnichannel, or customer-facing commercial organizations.
  • Experience with pricing, revenue growth management, market share analysis, trade investment management, and customer profitability initiatives.
  • Experience with enterprise financial systems such as Oracle, SAP, or OneStream.
