Primary Function
This role will research market conditions, consumer behavior, and competitive landscapes to provide actionable insights that support business development and marketing strategies. The role analyzes data from surveys, company sources, and industry reports to identify trends, assist business development in targeting and identifying lead opportunities, inform lead generation campaigns, and recommend strategies to marketing managers for sales campaigns and promotional initiatives. 

Essential Duties
Market Research & Competitive Intelligence 

  • Conduct market research and analyze data to identify lead generation targets and campaign opportunities 
  • Assess market conditions to evaluate potential product and service sales 
  • Compile data on competitors including marketing methods, pricing, and sales activity 
  • Define addressable market by region and territory 
  • Analyze purchasing behavior, buying cycles, and industry trends 

Data Analysis & Sales Forecasting 

  • Track campaign performance, consumer behavior, and buying trends 
  • Forecast future sales and market trends using quantitative analysis 
  • Evaluate effectiveness of current market strategies and identify improvement opportunities 
  • Perform statistical analysis to support strategic decision making 

Reporting & Strategic Support 

  • Develop data collection measures to support research initiatives 
  • Prepare reports and presentations using charts, graphs, infographics, and other visual formats 
  • Collaborate with Marketing Manager to develop strategies that maximize profitability 

Minimum Requirements 

Education 

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, statistics, data analytics, social sciences, or a related field. 

Work Experience 

  • 1-2+ years of marketing experience working or interning with a firm on marketing analysis. 
  • Proficient in statistical software including R, SAS, and SPSS. 
  • Skilled in programming and database query languages such as SQL. 
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. 
  • Working knowledge of industry analytic and business intelligence platforms including Google Analytics, Microsoft Power BI, and Adobe Analytics. 

Physical 

  • Ability to sit and utilize Laptop/PC for extensive periods. 

Other 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex information to clients and cross functional teams. 
  • Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to interpret large data sets and translate insights into actionable marketing strategies. 
  • Ability to leverage data analytics and reporting tools to support business insights and decision making.Â
