Job Description:
The Role
Entegris is currently seeking an Operations Technical Trainer V to join our Burnet Training Organization. This position will be based in our Burnet, TX facility.
The Technical Trainer is responsible for developing, coordinating, delivering, and continuously improving manufacturing, technical, quality, and safety training programs for Burnet site employees. This role ensures operators, technicians, and production personnel are fully trained, qualified, and capable of performing their responsibilities safely, efficiently, and in compliance with customer, quality, and regulatory requirements. The Technical Trainer partners closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, EHS, and Continuous Improvement teams to build workforce capability and support operational excellence. This position combines hands-on technical training with structured competency management and continuous learning initiatives.
What You'll Do
• Develop and deliver manufacturing, technical, quality, and safety training programs for operators, technicians, and manufacturing personnel.
• Conduct New Hire Orientation, onboarding, and foundational manufacturing training to ensure workforce readiness prior to assignment in production areas.
• Lead On-the-Job Training (OJT) programs and provide structured coaching to employees to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of manufacturing processes.
• Monitor employee competency and performance following training and transition to production; identify skill gaps and implement targeted retraining or coaching plans.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve training materials, work instructions, qualification guides, certification programs, job aids, and training records.
• Administer employee qualification, certification, annual recertification, and skills validation programs to ensure compliance with operational and quality requirements.
• Maintain site training matrices, certification records, competency assessments, and training completion documentation to support quality and audit requirements.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and EHS teams to develop and deliver training related to new products, process changes, equipment implementation, customer requirements, and quality initiatives.
• Deliver refresher training, quality alerts, corrective action training, and awareness sessions to reinforce quality standards and operational compliance.
• Support cross-training initiatives that increase workforce flexibility, improve staffing coverage, and enhance operational effectiveness.
• Assist in the creation, review, and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and other controlled documentation to ensure effective knowledge transfer and operational consistency.
• Track training effectiveness and performance metrics and recommend improvements to strengthen employee capability, engagement, and operational performance.
• Support internal audits, customer audits, and quality system compliance activities related to training, qualification, and competency management.
• Champion a culture of safety, quality, continuous improvement, and employee development across the site.
What We Seek
• High school diploma and a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Flexibility and willingness to work in shift-based schedules to support production and training needs.
• Proven experience in manufacturing operations training, class facilitation and On-Job-Training.
• Ability to coach and educate operators to ensure safe, compliant and efficient manufacturing execution.
• Experience conducting competency assessments, skill evaluation and post-transfer performance monitoring.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage with operators, supervisors, engineers and managers.
• Experience developing and delivering technical or manufacturing training programs in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated experience conducting competency assessments, skills validation, certification programs, and employee coaching.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, process controls, and operational excellence principles.
• Experience supporting training related to process changes, product introductions, equipment qualifications, and manufacturing procedures.
• Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience maintaining training records, learning systems, or training databases.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing manufacturing requirements
• Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and electronic training record management.
• Ability to translate technical concepts into effective and engaging learning experiences for diverse audiences.
• Detail-oriented in executing assigned tasks.
• Adaptability-oriented mindset to adjust training pace, methods and schedules based on production demands

  • Compensation: The salary range for this position is $31.97/hr-$40.14/hr. Final compensation will depend on the candidate's overall skills and qualifications for the role.
