Job description

Travel: Occasional local travel required.
The Clinical Training and Competency Manager is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and oversight of clinical education, competency, and training programs across the organization. This role helps ensure clinicians are prepared to deliver safe, effective, compliant, and high-quality care in alignment with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and quality initiatives.
This position partners closely with clinical, operational, and quality leaders to support workforce readiness, ongoing education, competency validation, and continuous improvement. The Clinical Training and Competency Manager promotes a culture of learning, accountability, clinical excellence, and alignment with Angels of Care's mission and HALOS values.

In this role, you will:
  • Support the development, delivery, and maintenance of clinical education and training programs
  • Assist with onboarding, orientation, and ongoing education for clinical staff
  • Identify training needs and support development initiatives across clinical teams
  • Maintain educational materials, resources, and training content
  • Support competency assessment, validation, and documentation processes
  • Assist with compliance readiness related to regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards
  • Partner with clinical, operational, and quality teams to support patient care and quality initiatives
  • Provide education and guidance related to clinical best practices, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain training, competency, and compliance records
  • Track and communicate training outcomes, trends, and follow-up needs
  • Assist with updates to policies, procedures, workflows, and educational content
  • Serve as a resource to staff and leaders regarding training, competency, and clinical processes
  • Participate in meetings, committees, audits, surveys, and organizational initiatives as assigned
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and professional development
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required
  • 3+ years home health nursing experience required
  • Knowledge of OASIS, CMS regulations, and home health reimbursement required
  • 3+ years of experience in staff education, precepting, training, or clinical leadership strongly preferred
  • Master of Science in Nursing preferred
