Job description

We are seeking a proven Branch Manager with deep expertise in waterworks and plumbing construction supplies to lead a high-performing branch serving Deschutes County and the surrounding region. This role carries full responsibility for branch profitability, sales growth, operational excellence, and team leadership. As Branch Manager, you will oversee and develop teams across inside sales, customer service, project management, estimating, warehouse, and transportation. You will drive revenue growth and market share among municipal, commercial, and residential contractors, while maintaining best-in-class customer service and operational discipline.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established and growing wholesale distributor of plumbing supplies, waterworks equipment, and HVAC systems with a strong reputation throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Lead, coach, and develop branch teams across sales, warehouse operations, logistics, and customer service to achieve performance and service excellence.
  • Own full P&L responsibility, managing revenue, margins, inventory turns, customer credit, and A/R aging against established goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with municipal, plumbing, and commercial/residential contractor customers within the service area.
  • Develop and manage customer pricing strategies and matrices aligned with market conditions, product mix, and profitability goals.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and retain top talent; conduct performance reviews, compensation planning, and employee development.
  • Partner with corporate leadership to review financial performance, KPIs, and strategic initiatives, making proactive course corrections as needed.
  • Develop and execute the annual business plan and operating budget, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Drive accountability for key metrics including gross profit, revenue growth, safety, inventory turns, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, and cash flow.
Qualifications include:
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Finance, or related field is preferred, but not required.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience as a Branch Manager, General Manager, Profit Center Manager, or Sales Manager within high-volume wholesale distribution.
  • Strong working knowledge of waterworks equipment and/or commercial or residential plumbing supplies is required.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue, expanding market share, and improving profitability.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, budgeting, and financial statements.
  • Track record of developing and leading high-performing teams.
  • Ethical, people-first leader who fosters a culture of ownership, accountability, trust, and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to set clear expectations and align teams around shared goals.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and business reporting tools.
  • Passion for operational excellence and exceeding customer expectations.
