Job description

Summary

The Benefits Administrator will be responsible for administering all aspects of Ranpak’s employee benefits programs, including health benefits enrollments and general administration, FMLA administration, 401(k), unemployment, assist with worker’s compensation, and other North America projects as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

·        Serves as the main contact for NOAM employees for benefits activities, including helping with claims, coverage, network providers, explaining insurance plans and options, enrolling and maintaining coverage for all benefits available, and resolving service issues

·        Responsible for COBRA administration

·        Partners with accounting to research and provide back-up needed for all financial debits on a daily basis. Provides necessary reports for allocation/billing charges (HSA, FSA, Cobra, etc)

·        Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in UKG to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information; this includes the file feeds from UKG to vendors

·        Assists with annual benefit open enrollment including configuring UKG, employee materials and communications/plan, and being available to assist employees

·        Liasons with our broker and carriers for service issues to renew insurance plans

·        Coordinates our unemployment responses with our external TPA and other state agencies.

·        Responds to 401(k) inquiries from managers and employees relating to enrollments, plan changes and contribution amounts.  Verifies contribution changes, new loans, etc are populated in UKG.

·        Coordinates our Exit Interview survey process nationally.

·        Ensure ACA compliance and complete CMS credible coverage online annually. May assist with annual 5500’s, plan documents and sending required annual disclosures.

·        Processes and administers all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA. Performs benefit premium ‘catchups’ and repayment plans for those upon returning from Leaves.

·        Facilitates/Administers the tuition reimbursement program

·        Assist new hires with benefits questions and processes life status changes.

·        Oversee Worker’s Comp process by gathering paperwork and information about the claim, reporting the claim to the carrier, and following up on work status and injury status.

·        Coordinate sympathy flowers and other special event purchase

·        Responsible for HR department credit card and expense reporting

·        May assist on immigration matters, and filings

·        Assists HR Director as needed, departmental projects and other duties as assigned

Qualifications

·        Minimum of 2 years’ experience in relevant HR related tasks required

·        Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws

·        Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of customer service

·        Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

·        Familiarity with HR software and systems preferred, specifically UKG

·        Familiarity with payroll processes preferred

·        Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

·        Detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving

·        Proficient with Microsoft Office

·        Bachelor’s degree preferred

·        Choice of sitting or standing or alternating between them (stand-up desk optional)

·        Keyboarding/typing on a computer for extended periods of time

·        Moderate noise, i.e., phones, printer, light foot traffic
