Aggregate Plant Operator
Souter Limestone Quarry - Gore, OKPosition Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Aggregate Plant Operator to join our team at Souter Limestone Quarry. The Plant Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment associated with an aggregate crushing plant, as well as performing routine maintenance and repairs on stationary equipment.
Job Responsibilities
โ€ข Follow all safety policies, rules, and procedures in compliance with Federal, State, and company regulations
โ€ข Ensure consistent, efficient, and safe operation of the plant
โ€ข Monitor production throughput and output to maintain optimum efficiency and maximize production levels
โ€ข Perform daily inspections of plant equipment and the site to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant operations
โ€ข Complete required documentation related to safety, production, and maintenance
โ€ข Monitor material quality, log changes in product or plant performance, and promptly report any quality concerns to QC
โ€ข Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, haul trucks, and water trucks
โ€ข Conduct preventive maintenance, pre-shift inspections, and equipment cleaning or repairs as needed
โ€ข Assist with plant maintenance including screen changes, conveyor belt repair/adjustment, crusher line changes, cutting, grinding, and welding
โ€ข Maintain housekeeping standards for the plant, control room, equipment, and site
โ€ข Provide training and support to co-workers as needed
โ€ข Perform additional duties as assigned by managementPhysical Demands
โ€ข Ability to bend, kneel, crawl, climb, twist, push, pull, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions
โ€ข Ability to work for extended periods in the same position or in confined spaces
โ€ข Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions
โ€ข Ability to work at heights on ladders or elevated surfaces
โ€ข Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Requirements
โ€ข Minimum 2 years of experience with aggregate crushing operations
โ€ข High school diploma or GED
โ€ข Valid driver's license
โ€ข Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
โ€ข Detail-oriented with excellent time management and problem-solving skills
โ€ข Effective communication skills
โ€ข MSHA training (required prior to starting work duties)
