Job description

Shop Mechanic:

The shop mechanic role performs preventive maintenance and makes those repairs on equipment in the safest, most efficient way to promote greater Up-Time for a positive customer rental experience

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of Rental Industry mechanic experience servicing electrically driven or diesel driven construction rental equipment
  • Experience reading, understanding and executing the necessary service from the interpretation of basic equipment design schematics
  • Successful working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, mechanical service protocols used in the construction equipment rental industry
  • Ability to work during the hours of 6:00am - 6:00pm, Monday through Friday
  • MUST your OWN tools for this position
  • A current, valid driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50Lbs on a regular basis to perform job duties utilizing proper safe lifting techniques

Responsibilities:

  • Daily repairs and preventive maintenance performed on these equipment systems; electrical, diesel, hydraulic, mechanical and fuel at our facility shop-laydown yard for various types of aerial, heavy equipment and general tool construction rental equipment
  • Maintain and complete required documentation on service work performed according to company protocols on a daily basis
  • Operate company aerial equipment, heavy equipment and power tools safely as needed to complete service tasks effectively
  • Keep a clean and organized work space while operating with the highest level of safety standards daily
  • Perform additional duties as necessary in support of overall branch operational logistics
