Job description

Compact Inside Sales Rep

An Inside Sales Representative in the compact equipment space (like Takeuchi or Volvo) combines sales support, customer communication, and account management - mostly from the office or remotely rather than being out in the field every day.

Core Responsibilities

Sales Development & Support

  • Develop sales opportunities and support ongoing account activity for dealers and direct customers.
  • Assist outside sales teams by qualifying leads, following up with prospective buyers, and maintaining customer communication.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to respond to sales inquiries, provide product info, and promote offerings.

Dealer & Account Relations

  • Support and communicate with dealer networks in your assigned region.
  • Help with dealer recruitment, inventory control, and program communication.

Forecasting & Reporting

  • Assist in forecasting sales, tracking order status, and updating CRM systems.

Product Expertise

  • Learn and explain compact equipment features (excavators, loaders, track loaders, etc.).
  • Provide technical and product knowledge to customers and dealers.

Responsibilities

Takeuchi (Compact Equipment Manufacturer)

  • Support sales development and dealer network engagement.
  • Help manage inventory, forecast demand, and communicate product programs across accounts.
  • Work with regional sales managers to build relationships and drive business growth.

Takeuchi equipment includes compact excavators, compact track loaders, and wheel loaders - products central to this type of sales role.

Volvo Construction Equipment
