Overview:
It is an exciting time to join ANS. We are seeking an experienced electrical substation designer to join our growing engineering team. The ideal candidate will participate in and contribute to a diverse range of engineering projects and services in a team-oriented environment. Under the direction of experienced engineers and in collaboration with a team, you will gain exposure to the Renewables industry in Solar and Battery Energy Storage projects and Utility Interconnections.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribution: Under direct supervision and working with experienced staff, the successful candidate will assist with the generation of construction drawing plans and details, schematic and wiring diagrams, models, exhibits, and reports.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, across multiple departments (and geographies) to ensure project execution to support company goals and business objectives. Work closely with other departments driving excellence in the overall execution and client experience at ANS.
  • Innovation: This role demands a forward-thinking mindset, staying open to new ideas, technologies, and ways of working. It requires a willingness to challenge the status quo, explore innovative solutions, and continuously seek improvements to
    drive progress and efficiency.

Qualification & Skills:
  • Knowledge of CAD software required to develop plans, sections, schematics, details, wiring and BOM sheets for construction drawing sets.
  • Ability to work as a team player, take direction, and interact well with others while working in remote, hybrid, or office environments.
  • Ability to follow and adhere to project schedules and budgets as directed by Project Managers and Technical Leads with a basic understanding of project financials.
  • Ability to follow and interpret internal, client, and industry procedures and standards.
  • Attention to detail with strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with strong internal drive and integrity that can work well individually and with team members.
  • Ability to learn advance modeling software suites

Requirements:
  • Associates in any engineering discipline from an accredited institution preferred.
  • No degree required with CAD experience.
  • EIT Preferred
  • Not Required but Bonus Points for: Being fluent in Spanish

$75,000 - $110,000 a year
