We provide services to include individual, family, child and adolescent, group, and marriage counseling, medication management, and a (newly added) Higher Level of Care program through PBH. Mental Edge Counseling, LLC has developed a reputation as an established and trusted outpatient mental health office. We provide an environment where our providers are able to obtain positive results and promising outcomes with their clients.

As a Mental Edge Counseling Mobile Outpatient Clinician, you will be responsible for:
Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in this category.
The essential job functions are as follows:
  • Providing on-going clinical assessment and treatment for children and families.
  • Working with adolescents that has been diagnosed with sleep disorders, ADHD, behavioral challenges, learning disabilities, addiction and more
  • Securing and maintaining confidential documents, filing client care plans, as well as maintaining weekly and monthly progress notes
  • Implementing psychological interventions and techniques (behavior management social learning, conflict-de-escalation and attachment-focused)
  • Develop and monitor client's treatment plan
  • Maintain and document accurate case notes and changes in treatment plans
  • Intervene in crisis in order to de-escalate the situation
  • Meeting with a licensed supervisor for weekly supervision

Requirements
  • Possession of a master's degree or higher in social work and/or psychology or related field
  • Ability to work a caseload in Sussex County, DE
  • Ability to commute to the Mental Edge Counseling office located in Dover, DE for scheduled supervision and meetings
  • Available in the early afternoon/ evening (eg Noon to 8:30 pm)
  • Walking, occasional running, standing, sitting, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, reaching above head, bending, and carrying up to 50 pounds
  • Sustained physical exertion may be required during session
  • Have 6 months experience in working with children youth and family

Conditional Hiring Events:
  • Criminal background check: A satisfactory criminal background check is required as a condition of hire. Mental Edge Counseling, LLC may require the applicant to pay for the criminal background check as part of the conditional offer of hire.
  • DSCYF Child Abuse Registry check: Mental Edge Counseling, LLC will require the applicant to obtain a successful child abuse registry check.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States
