Community Life Program Coordinator - Join Our Big-Hearted Team

Your Mission: The Community Life Program Coordinator provides cross-functional administrative and program support across three enterprise-wide departments: Community Life and Connection (which includes our Spiritual Life Department), Healthy Aging and Functional Ability, and Resident Resources. This role serves as a coordination hub for programs that reach residents across the Sun Health senior living communities and the Sun Health at Home program, balancing logistical excellence with responsive, relationship-centered service. The role is designed to flex across departmental needs and balances administrative responsibilities with program development and community engagement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support

  • Coordinate logistics for programs and events across Community Life and Connection, Healthy Aging and Functional Ability, and Resident Resources, including scheduling, room reservations, catering orders, and preparation of materials such as calendars, newsletters.
  • Manage calendars, publications, and scheduling for supported department leaders and assist with multi-site event planning.
  • Manage communications with staff, residents, and external partners related to programming across supported departments.
  • Provide general administrative support for departmental projects, including document preparation, data entry, filing, and tracking of deadlines and deliverables.
  • Support procurement and vendor coordination for program-related supplies and services.

Program Coordination

  • Coordinate logistics and scheduling for Spiritual Life programming across all communities and Sun Health at Home.
  • Support coordination of the program partnership (e.g. ASU OLLi, Dementia Capable Care), including scheduling, communication with wider community contacts, and resident-facing logistics, materials, communications and record keeping.
  • Coordinate with outside vendors and community agencies to support programming delivered across departments.
  • Assist in organizing community-based events that engage residents across Sun Health sites, including logistics, participant communication, and follow-up.
  • Support the development and preparation of program materials, presentations, and communications across all supported departments.

Community and Partner Engagement

  • Assist in maintaining positive working relationships with residents, staff, and external partners including local faith leaders, community organizations, and program vendors.
  • Support outreach to community partners on behalf of supported departments.
  • Serve as a point of contact for resident and partner inquiries related to scheduling, programming, and general department communications.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple departments and program areas.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including residents, staff, and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfort working with digital tools and platforms.
  • Proficiency in Canva or willingness to learn; general comfort with the tools and platforms common to administrative and program support roles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team across multiple sites.
  • Understanding of and respect for the organization's mission, values, and commitment to holistic wellness.

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred. A combination of equivalent experience and education may be considered.
  • At least one year of experience in administrative coordination, program support, or a related role.
  • Experience working with senior populations preferred.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card (required).
  • Ability to travel in own vehicle, current Driver's license and auto insurance is required.
