This position is in the Essex CT area

We are looking for a dynamic, creative, energetic person to work with an individual currently living at home with his parents in the Essex CT area. This person will provide direct care to a person who is deaf/hard of hearing and also has neurological and developmental challenges.
Some job responsibilities include:
  • ensuring health issues are addressed
  • assist individual in daily activities
  • implement behavioral goals and teaching strategies\
  • foster community belonging through individual centered appropriate activities
  • models positive adult roles in the community
  • assist with improving the individual's quality of life

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Related experience and/or training in working with people with disabilities who are also deaf/hard of hearing
  • Fluent in American Sign Language

Requirements:
  • CPR/First Aid certified or the ability to become certified
  • PMT certified or the ability to become certified
  • DDS Medication Administration Certification or the ability to become certified

Schedule: (2 positions are open)
  • Mon - Fri 30 hours flexible depending on the needs of the individual

Hourly rate:
  • Starting rate is $20.45 per hour.
  • There is a 0.50 hourly differential once DDS Medication Administration Certification is obtained
