Position Overview
The Branch Manager leads all aspects of branch performance — driving deposit growth, developing staff, and building meaningful relationships with both new and existing customers. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable coaching a team, making outside sales calls, and resolving complex customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a branch sales and marketing strategy to grow deposits, loans, and partner referrals
- Establish and align individual and team sales goals to maximize branch productivity
- Conduct regular outside sales calls to existing and new business clients
- Promote the bank through active community involvement, leveraging local contacts to build a pipeline of new business
- Cross-sell and refer customers to appropriate bank partners to deepen relationships and grow share of wallet
- Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team
- Ensure staff are properly trained to meet individual and branch sales goals
- Hold team members accountable to individual performance targets and overall branch goals
- Conduct performance evaluations and career development conversations
- Foster a culture of open, honest, and consistent feedback
- Set and model high customer service standards
- Resolve customer inquiries, complaints, and problems with professionalism and efficiency
- Coach team members on operational responsibilities, risk awareness, and service excellence
- Educate and demo consumer and business digital banking products and services
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum 4 years of retail banking experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
- At least 2 years of community development or sales experience

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and bank-approved software systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional presence in all interactions
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and results-driven with a genuine focus on client outcomes
- Flexible availability and willingness to support branch scheduling needs
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply banking regulations and compliance standards
