The General Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Paladin Envirotech's facility. This position plays a critical leadership role in ensuring operational efficiency, productivity, safety, quality, and compliance while supporting the company’s overall strategic objectives.

The General Operations Manager will provide leadership and direction to department managers, supervisors, and team leads; monitor operational performance; manage resources and expenses; identify opportunities for process improvement; and help drive continued organizational growth.

This is a hands-on, high-impact leadership position suited for an experienced operations professional who thrives in a fast-paced, growing, and entrepreneurial environment.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperations Management
  • Oversee daily facility operations to ensure business processes are efficient, effective, and aligned with company objectives.
  • Establish and maintain operational standards, procedures, and workflows.
  • Ensure production and operational activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established timelines.
  • Monitor facility performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Ensure appropriate staffing, equipment, materials, and resources are available to meet operational needs.
  • Maintain a hands-on presence throughout the facility and actively engage with employees and leadership.
Leadership & People Management
  • Provide leadership, direction, and support to department managers, supervisors, and team leads.
  • Establish clear expectations and hold leaders and employees accountable for performance.
  • Coach, develop, and mentor members of the management and leadership team.
  • Support employee hiring, onboarding, training, development, and performance management.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, team-oriented workplace culture.
  • Address employee and operational concerns promptly and appropriately in partnership with Human Resources.
Performance & Continuous Improvement
  • Establish, monitor, and evaluate operational KPIs and performance metrics.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives designed to increase productivity, reduce waste, control costs, and improve quality.
Safety, Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure operations comply with company policies, safety requirements, environmental standards, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support and maintain compliance with applicable industry standards and certifications, including R2 and RIOS:2016.
  • Promote a strong culture of workplace safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Identify operational risks and implement appropriate measures to mitigate them.
  • Investigate operational issues, incidents, and areas of non-compliance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Communication & Strategic Support
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute operational strategies that support company growth.
  • Coordinate communication and collaboration between departments to ensure effective workflow and information sharing.
  • Communicate operational goals, expectations, and company initiatives to employees and leadership.
  • Identify potential operational challenges and elevate significant risks or concerns to senior leadership.
  • Participate in strategic planning and initiatives related to facility growth and organizational development.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of operations and/or management experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Proven experience leading teams and managing employees in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple departments, priorities, and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience managing budgets, expenses, operational metrics, and KPIs.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and business management/ERP systems.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in electronics recycling, IT asset disposition (ITAD), manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, materials management, or a related industry.
  • Experience working within regulated or highly compliance-focused environments.
  • Familiarity with R2, RIOS, environmental compliance, or related industry standards.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience working in a rapidly growing or entrepreneurial organization.
Physical & Work Environment
  • This position requires regular presence throughout the facility and interaction with employees across operational departments.
  • Ability to walk, stand, and move throughout a warehouse/industrial environment for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely navigate an active operational facility, including areas where machinery, equipment, and material-handling activities are present.
  • Must be able to follow all required safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
  • Occasional lifting, bending, reaching, and other physical activities may be required based on operational needs.
