SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Strengthens the operational foundation of Corporate Communications by managing key communication channels, editorial systems, and governance processes. Serves as the team's primary editor, ensuring communications are clear, consistent, accurate, and aligned with brand and compliance standards. The position is responsible for drafting press releases and coordinating the approval process with Legal, Compliance, and leadership. Provides editorial and operational support to internal communications initiatives led by other team members, as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

  • Owns and manages corporate communication channels, including intranet/SharePoint, newsletters, email communications, Teams-based updates, and other owned platforms, as applicable.
  • Develops and maintains editorial calendars, content intake processes, and publishing schedules to ensure timely and effective communications.
  • Establishes and manages workflows for content development, editing, approvals, publishing, and measurement.
  • Serves as the primary editor for Corporate Communications, reviewing and editing content to improve clarity, tone, consistency, and accuracy.
  • Enforces editorial and brand standards, including voice and tone, terminology, product naming, trademarks, and style guidelines.
  • Conducts final quality assurance reviews to reduce rework, errors, and inconsistencies prior to publication.
  • Drafts press releases and supporting materials, including fact sheets, Q&As, quotes, and boilerplate content.
  • Coordinates press release approvals with applicable departments and senior leadership, managing version control and timelines.
  • Ensures alignment and consistency between internal and external announcements.
  • Maintains press release archives and approved corporate descriptions, boilerplates, and evergreen materials.
  • Defines and tracks performance metrics for owned communication channels and prepares recurring reports with actionable insights.
  • Uses engagement data and insights to recommend improvements to channel strategy, content formats, and cadence.
  • Provides editorial, channel, and operational support to internal communications initiatives led by other team members, as needed.
  • Assists with editing, formatting, and quality control for internal announcements and leadership communications upon request.
  • Creates templates, FAQs, and manager-ready materials to support internal communications efforts when needed.
  • Performs other duties and tasks as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in corporate communications, digital communications, internal communications, or public relations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing owned communication channels and editorial workflows.
  • Proven ability to edit and elevate content quality across internal and external communications.
  • Experience drafting press releases and coordinating cross-functional approval processes.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, preferably spreadsheets, word processing, databases, and other applicable software programs.
