POSITION SUMMARY:The Director of Marketing and Communications is responsible for the development and execution of brand management, communications, and marketing strategies that drive community engagement, build agency identity, advance visibility, and increase revenue. Working in close partnership with colleagues across the agency, the Director of Marketing manages PossAbilities media relations, advertising, promotions, and digital engagement efforts. The successful candidate will be creative, collaborative, data-driven, and forward-thinking.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:โ€ข Create and maintain organizational relationships with local and regional media.
โ€ข Serve as the media contact for PossAbilities and coordinate all media requests.
โ€ข Initiate media events and create press releases per marketing plan and as the situation arises
โ€ข Develop, implement, and manage external communications with clients, parents/guardians, stakeholders, businesses, donors and community members.
โ€ข Plan and implement all fundraising and community engagement events.
โ€ข Plan and assist with tours and other educational and marketing activities.
โ€ข Represent PossAbilities at community fairs and business events that present networking and marketing opportunities.
โ€ข Directs and implements the organizationโ€™s advertising and promotional activities.
โ€ข Analyzes target market information to identify and recommend effective marketing approaches.
โ€ข Identifies new market segments that will benefit from PossAbilities services.
โ€ข Prepares effective advertising campaigns based on market research.
โ€ข Maintains knowledge on industry services and innovation.
โ€ข Collaborates with senior executives to develop growth plans for the organization.
โ€ข Forecasts, drafts, implements, and oversees the departmentโ€™s operating budget.
โ€ข Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field required; Masterโ€™s degree preferred.โ€ข At least five years of experience in marketing and long-range planning required.

โ€ข Thorough understanding of market developments.
โ€ข Thorough understanding of marketing strategies and practices.
โ€ข Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
โ€ข Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

โ€ข Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
โ€ข Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
