Job Overview

Bunkley Electric is seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Apprentice Electrician to join our Field Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about electrical work who want to grow into long-term career roles. In this position, you'll gain hands-on experience with commercial electrical systems and controls, receive mentorship, and contribute to meaningful projects across various job sites. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial electrical systems and components.
  • Safely use electrical tools, equipment, and PPE.
  • Work under the supervision of journeyman or master electricians to complete daily tasks.
  • Understand and install all types of raceways.
  • Read blueprints and electrical schematics under guidance.
  • Maintain job site cleanliness and adhere to all safety protocols.
  • Participate in safety training and team meetings.
  • Accurately track time and materials.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts and learn to identify electrical issues independently.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2+ years of electrical experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Apprentice Electrician License.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical theory and safety.
  • Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools.
  • Reliable, punctual, and organized with strong communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team.
  • Physically able to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various conditions.
  • Strong grasp of National Electrical Code, Article 90 - Chapter 4 & Chapter 9.
