Work Location & Travel Expectations
This role supports projects across the United States and requires a high level of travel based on business and project needs. Candidates may be based anywhere within the U.S.; however, the selected individual should be prepared for assignments at various project locations nationwide. Travel for this position may reach up to approximately 90%.
Project assignments generally last 10 to 17 months, depending on project duration and operational requirements. While assigned to a project away from home, eligible employees are provided per diem to assist with temporary living and travel-related expenses, in addition to a competitive hourly rate.
Position Overview
The Electrical/Communications Foreman is responsible for leading field crews on a major data center communication infrastructure project in Haskell, TX. This role is responsible for supervising installation activities, maintaining quality and safety standards, coordinating with other trades, and ensuring work is completed on schedule. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile, mission-critical data center project with a strong focus on safety, quality, and professional execution.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise crews of 10-15 communications/low-voltage craft workers on a large-scale data center project
  • Oversee the installation of structured cabling systems, including Cat6A/Cat8 and fiber optic infrastructure
  • Coordinate installation of cable tray, ladder rack, conduit, and other communication pathway systems
  • Ensure proper grounding, bonding, labeling, and testing of communication systems
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documentation to direct field activities
  • Coordinate daily work with other trades to maintain project schedules and minimize conflicts
  • Enforce company safety policies, quality standards, and site procedures
  • Monitor crew productivity and workmanship to ensure timely project completion
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site

Requirements
  • Successful completion of a registered electrical or low-voltage/communications apprenticeship program strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a TDLR Journeyman Electrician, TDLR Industrial Electrician, or NCCER Electrical professional in industrial, commercial, or communications infrastructure construction
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Foreman, Lead, or other supervisory role
  • Experience on data centers, hyperscale, colocation, or other mission-critical facilities strongly preferred
  • Proven ability to supervise and lead crews of 10-15 craft workers
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Structured cabling systems (Cat6A/Cat8)
    • Fiber optic installation and testing
    • Cable tray, ladder rack, and conduit systems
    • Grounding and bonding practices for communications systems
    • Industry-standard labeling and documentation practices
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and schedule performance
  • Must reside in the Haskell/North Texas area, be able to reliably commute, or be willing to travel for the duration of the project
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • BICSI certification and/or fiber optic certification is a strong plus

Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Lift, carry, push, and pull materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Perform physical movements such as bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, and balancing
  • Safely navigate active construction sites, including uneven, confined, or cluttered work areas
  • Work at elevated heights and comply with fall protection and safety requirements
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Work in environments with exposure to noise, dust, temperature extremes, and other construction-related conditions
  • Interpret technical drawings and visualize three-dimensional concepts when needed
  • Maintain sufficient vision, hearing, coordination, and awareness to safely perform job duties
  • Ability to work extended shifts, including up to 12 hours, in outdoor construction environments and varying weather conditions
  • Maintain physical stamina and strength to perform demanding job duties throughout the workday
