We are currently seeking a skilled Preconstruction Estimator to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.
Position Overview:

The Preconstruction Estimator will estimate large-scale commercial projects from predevelopment through to contract execution. This includes design coordination, budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and client engagement. You'll work alongside top-tier operations staff and executive leadership, with the ability to influence both strategy and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the Bid Process: From initial client meeting to delivery of estimate. Work with trade partners to deliver thorough proposals on schedule.
Scoping for Understanding: Take responsibility for understanding the scope of the project and identifying who our partners should be so that we can deliver a successful estimate to the owner.
  • Collaboration with Partners: Collaborate with owners, designers, engineers, and trade partners to ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the preconstruction phase of the project.
Solving Problems Early: Work with our trade partners to identify problems early in the preconstruction process so that we can provide the owner with solutions before the project starts.
Cost Management: Prepare iterative conceptual and detailed budgets from the current form of the document set.
Develop Project Logistics: Work with our project managers and superintendents to define the project logistics package required to deliver a superior project.
Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in civil engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of experience in construction estimating or a related role, with a proven track record of supporting successful construction projects.
  • Skills:
    • Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in construction estimating software.
    • Ability to interpret and work with technical drawings and specifications.
  • Personal Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively under pressure. Strong team player with a proactive attitude.
