Transmission Line Engineers at Commonwealth play a key role in the comprehensive engineering of transmission line projects, overseeing the entire process from project scoping to closure. Working under the guidance of a seasoned transmission line engineer, they take on the responsibility of leading their own projects. Throughout the project's lifecycle, these engineers serve as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders, providing leadership and ensuring effective communication.
.Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Initial Phases:
    • Scoping of Transmission Line Projects.
  • Engineering Design:
    • Design of Transmission Lines in PLS Cadd.
    • Produce load sheets and drawings for custom steel poles.
    • Design foundations using MFAD.
  • Documentation and Specifications:
    • Complete material list for transmission line projects.
    • Assemble complete Issue for Construction specification books.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
    • Coordinate directly with the client and all other stakeholders throughout the project's life, including project management, right of way, environmental, siting, station engineering, telecom, distribution, and construction.
  • Supervision and Support:
    • Attend construction site visits as required under the supervision of a more experienced transmission line engineer.

Qualifications:
  • Education - Bachelors Degree - Civil
  • Experience: 1-4 Years of Transmission Line Engineering Experience.
  • Software:
    • PLS Cadd (required)
    • EIT (preferred)
    • MFAD (preferred)
