RN Wound Care Coordinator

The posted compensation range of $55.55 - $79.06/hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. The job summary and responsibilities for the Wound Care Nurse position include:

  • Promotes an interdisciplinary approach to wound/ostomy care/PICC line insertions within the hospital setting.
  • Encourages involvement of patient/family/significant other in decision making related to plan of care.
  • Independently assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the wound care of patients.
  • Observes the wound care of other nursing team members and assumes a resource and clinical education role.
  • Gives direction to staff members related to wound care of patients/residents and specialty bed usage.
  • Identifies educational needs and conducts education classes in coordination with nursing education department as needed.

Job requirements include:

  • Three (3) years of clinical experience required, with experience in woundostomy care, and PICC line insertion.
  • Registered Nurse: RN
  • Basic Life Support - BLS
  • High School Graduate or GED
