Location: Richmond

Compensation: $19.29 per hour

Shift Details

  • Thursday to Monday: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
  • Required training period: Two weeks between 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM

About the Position

Dunbar Security Solutions is hiring an Overnight Security Officer to support safety operations at a residential property in Richmond. This position is responsible for monitoring activity during overnight hours, completing patrols, and assisting with maintaining a calm and secure environment for residents, visitors, and on-site personnel.

This role works best for individuals who stay alert during quiet hours, communicate professionally, and can handle routine responsibilities with consistency and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Property Monitoring & Patrol

  • Perform scheduled patrols throughout the property and surrounding areas
  • Maintain awareness of building activity and report concerns promptly
  • Observe entrances, common areas, and parking locations during the shift
  • Help identify unsafe conditions or suspicious activity

Resident & Visitor Interaction

  • Provide courteous assistance to residents, guests, and staff members
  • Maintain a professional appearance and respectful communication at all times
  • Support access control procedures and follow established site guidelines

Reporting & Documentation

  • Complete shift reports and incident documentation accurately
  • Record relevant observations, unusual activity, and security-related events
  • Communicate important updates to supervisors or designated contacts

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow company procedures and property-specific instructions
  • Support a secure environment by enforcing site rules consistently
  • Respond appropriately to incidents or emergency situations when required
  • Perform additional duties based on operational needs

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work overnight hours on a regular schedule
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Dependable attendance and professional conduct
  • Ability to remain attentive while working independently
