Location: Richmond

Pay Rate: $19.29 per hour

Schedule

  • Thursday to Monday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Candidates must be available to complete a two-week training period between 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM

Position Overview

Dunbar Security Solutions is seeking a dependable and professional Security Officer to support daily operations at a residential property in Richmond. This position focuses on maintaining a secure atmosphere for residents, guests, employees, and vendors through active monitoring, patrol activity, and strong customer interaction.

The ideal candidate is observant, approachable, and capable of handling routine security responsibilities while maintaining a calm and respectful presence throughout the shift.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular patrols throughout assigned buildings, parking areas, and common spaces
  • Maintain a visible presence to help discourage unauthorized activity and policy violations
  • Monitor property activity and report suspicious behavior, hazards, or security concerns
  • Assist residents, visitors, and staff with directions or general questions when needed
  • Enforce property procedures and security guidelines in a professional manner
  • Document incidents, daily observations, and shift activity accurately and thoroughly
  • Monitor access points and observe visitor movement throughout the property
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, staff members, and emergency personnel when required
  • Support a safe and orderly environment for residents and approved guests
  • Perform additional site-related duties as assigned by management

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in public-facing situations
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain attentive during extended shifts
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

Preferred Background

  • Prior experience in security, customer service, residential communities, or hospitality
  • Experience preparing written reports or documenting incidents
