Common Area Attendant FT
Location: Coconut Malorie Resort - Ocean City, MD
Job Type: Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY
The Common Area Attendant maintains all inside and assigned outdoor public areas of the location and interacts with guests in a manner that promotes a positive impression of the staff and property. This position creates a comfortable, clean guest environment, contributing to guest satisfaction and the success of the location.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Common Area Attendant:
  • Clean and maintain assigned interior and exterior common areas.
  • Replenish supplies where needed.
  • Empty trash and maintain public-space cleanliness.
  • Report maintenance needs promptly.
  • Communicate with housekeeping or Front Desk regarding cleaning needs.

OTHER FUNCTIONS
The Common Area Attendant may also:
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure smooth property operations and cleanliness.
  • Assist the housekeeping team as needed.
  • Uses phone to track/monitor room cleans through the location's computer program.
  • Pre and post-storm preparations.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
  • -Reliable with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • No formal education requirements.
  • Experience preferred but not required.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Understanding of cleaning procedures.
  • Basic communication skills.
  • Excellent customer services skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to push/pull carts and equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Indoor/outdoor work in various weather conditions.
  • Weekend and holiday availability required.
