Job description

Job Summary:
TGW Logistics is seeking a Software Commissioning Engineer I to work with a team supporting the onsite commissioning of TGW software solutions. The role involves installing, configuring, and testing software for automation and material-handling solutions, as well as traveling to customer sites for onsite commissioning support.
Responsibilities:
โ€ข Installs, configures, and tests the software of TGW automation and material-handling solutions.
โ€ข Builds equipment emulation models for use during in-house software testing and writes acceptance criteria for such emulation models.
โ€ข Demonstrates emulation to testing, commissioning, and development teams.
โ€ข Participates in software functional tests using an equipment emulation model.
โ€ข Travels regularly to customer sites to support onsite commissioning of software solutions.
โ€ข Monitors and reports on status of active commissioning projects.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Associate Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
โ€ข Some internship or hands-on work experience in software engineering, preferably within material-handling industry
โ€ข Understanding of engineering principles, with ability to read mechanical layout drawings
โ€ข Some familiarity with unit testing, automated testing and functional testing
โ€ข Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, internal and external
โ€ข Robust knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
