Job description

Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
The Communications team builds and protects the Stripe brand and influence across the world. Video and audio are increasingly important tools in shaping the world's understanding of Stripe and the fantastic companies using our infrastructure to grow-accelerating economies, creating industries, and reinventing business models in the process.
What you'll do
You'll be the engine of the Stripe short-form video strategy, making our content essential viewing for the world's most ambitious founders, operators, developers, and economists. Your mission is to take our rich library of content-from fireside chats with industry leaders to deep dives on the global economy-and distill it into intelligent, substantial clips (on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and more). This isn't about chasing empty clicks. It's about earning the attention and trust of a highly discerning audience. You'll also own our YouTube and Instagram video presence, transforming them into platforms renowned for their insight and quality. You'll wear a lot of hats-producer, video editor, content commissioner, social media channel strategist, measurement aficionado, and more.
Responsibilities
  • Own the Stripe YouTube channel and Instagram Reels, focused on providing additive insight to our core community of founders, developers, and thinkers
  • Edit clips from Stripe long-form content (e.g., Cheeky Pint, firesides from Stripe Sessions and Tours), with a strong eye for the most salient moments and nuanced arguments
  • Manage the end-to-end publishing process, including writing sharp, SEO-optimized titles and descriptions that speak to an intelligent audience
  • Continuously run experiments with formats, narrative structures, and editing styles (e.g., archival b-roll and graphic overlays) to discover what resonates most strongly
  • Advise partner teams developing video content (e.g., teams running webinars or events featuring Stripe customers) on how to optimize recordings and edits for the internet
  • Commission and manage the creation of other short-form assets, including high-quality animations and motion graphics, to support product launches and partnership announcements
  • Analyze performance data and qualitative feedback to refine our video strategy, ensuring every piece of content adds value and strengthens our brand
  • Own metrics and reporting across all our social platforms, including LinkedIn, X, and Substack
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
  • 3+ years experience in video editing with a portfolio of short-form content that showcases an ability to distill complex ideas into concise, compelling narratives
  • Proficiency with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
  • Excellent editorial judgment and a "good nose" for the moments, quotes, and ideas that will resonate specifically with founders, developers, and economic thinkers
  • Experience managing creative projects, including commissioning work from external animators, motion designers, and agencies who meet a high bar for quality
  • Deep, hands-on experience managing and growing a YouTube channel and Instagram account for a brand that serves a sophisticated, smart audience
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with AI video workflows (e.g., Descript, OpusClip, CapCut, Runway)
  • The ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, translating complex internal discussions into clear, engaging public-facing content
  • A strong understanding of YouTube SEO and platform algorithms, and how to leverage them to connect substantive content with the right people
